I love Philly Cooks! The best restaurants, the best food and lots of fun. Every January, Philadelphia Magazine holds Philly Cooks, which raises funds for MANNA. This year it was held at Turbine Hall. Each year 50+ restaurants have a booth and present a signature dish. The judges choose the dish of the year plus various other categories such as best dessert, best seafood, best display. The judges do not know who prepared what.
This year they also had a cheesesteak contest. 7 of the top new chefs in Philly prepared their best version of a cheesesteak. These were interesting: anything from a dehydrated cheesesteak to filet mignon cheesesteak.
Philly Cooks raised $17,500.00 for MANNA.
