Allie’s first and second skinned knee

Allie had a rough two days.

Yesterday after music class she fell down in the parking lot and got her first skinned knee. She has a little bit of skin off and really red and she milked it good. Then she got to the playground and ran right over to the swings and was kicked in the head by a kid on the swing. It all happened so fast I couldn’t stop her and the other mom was on her cell phone just pushing her kid without paying attention. ugh!

Well we took photos of her knee as her badge of honor and Allie really milked it for the camera.

Then today we were walking and she fell and skinned the same knee again! This time really getting a nice skinned area, blood and everything. (sorry to be so graphic…its a mom thing) Boy did she wail!!! Then after she finally calmed down and tried walking; she was limping. It was the funniest thing to see her walking wth her leg on its tippie toe, limping. Not funny to her I assure you. But within a minute she was running around. Throughout the day she would have phantom pains and mention it…usually when she glanced down and saw the nice scab.

Well I am sure there will be worse accidebts in the next several months and years but this was a milestone for all of us.
