busy as usual

I know I am always busy….I am starting to get more organized. I have a new office manager coming in…YAY!! for those of you that don’t know, my old fabulous assistant moved to New York May 1st. She wants to be a photo stylist and the minute she moved up there she got a fabulous job for a photographer and stylist that do alot of catalog work. That is so great for her!! I have just been sad because I have no one here to keep me company in the office and help out. But that is all changing. I just found a girl that seems awesome and she will be super helpful. I also have a great photoshop guy and a bookkeeper…so I should be able to do the fun stuff like chatting and hanging out with my clients, visiting with colleagues and vendors, chilling with Allie and my hubby and shooting lots of pictures. I am working on a ton of fun stuff…it is taking awhile because I am also trying to get all my work done.

A few things in the works…

I am now the Philadelphia PUG leader- this is a community of philly photographers sponsored by Pictage. I was in NJ and also had a philly group but now they are being combined and I will be able to spend more time on just the one group. Hope all my photog friends will be there-it will be the first wednesday of every month.

I had been working on a site that had a forum and a blog for photographers with families. Since that is such a huge undertaking and more than I have time for, i am combining that blog with this one. So I will be trying to dedictae fridays to “family fridays”. This will contain my thoughts, feelings, and ideas on how to make your life easier with a photo biz and a family. I am still working it out and always love hints and ideas from other photographers.

I am also compiling a bunch of ideas and interviews from other wedding vendors to be a good resource for my couples and brides to be. There is so much info and everyone is always so lost so I will try and give fun, easy and helpful things to think about when doing your wedding. I will try to do this every Wednesday hence “wedding wednesdays”

Last but not least I have been working on a new site and new branding. WHAT!?! I just did a site but it has never been what I really wanted so I have been compiling different things I want to include and it will be a work in progress.

ooohhh so much to do and I can’t wait to get it all done….
