Laura and Dave had a beautiful wedding at the Grand Hotel in Cape May. Dave was stationed in the Coast Guard down there and he proposed to Laura down on the pier, so Cape May was an obvious choice. Although, Laura’s dad’s place, the Phoenixville Foundry, was a close second. They knew if the wedding was at the foundry her dad would work instead of having fun. Let me tell you, her dad was all about having fun. In fact, everyone had fun all day.
Special thanks to Joy Moody, my fellow PWP’r, for coming and second shooting with me. It is always fun and inspiring to work with another professional who also happens to be a friend.
I love how happy her mom looks!
One of the bridesmaids had a tattoo that looked so tropical and went with the beach theme well
Grandma seeing Laura in her dress for the first time
The boys waiting for Laura. Their ties matched the girls dresses and the flipflops were perfect for the beach
The handshake with dad
Just after Laura and Dave are pronounced man and wife
If you are in Cape May, you have to do a fun shot in the boat. I think it is in their laws somewhere. =)
Dave loves boats!
Joy did this great shot of Dave. Love the perspective.
Laura running down the beach
A little snuggle, a little laugh….works every time
One of my favorites from the day because of the couple in the background also walking arm in arm
This was the awesomest (yeah its a word, mine) part of the wedding. Charm City Cakes, AKA Ace of Cakes, created this coast guard boat cake. It has Dave throwing a life preserver to Laura who is in the water. It was complete with all the extras like machine guns, ropes, emblems etc.
For those of you in the industry, yes that is Bob Tomasso, the head honcho of events over at the Phoenixville Foundry. He is such a ham and here he is being silly with Laura as they start their father/daughter dance.
Joy captured these 2 shots during the bouquet and garter toss. Look for the rest in the slideshow. this girl wanted the flowers so badly she ended up crawling on the floor to get them. What is even funnier is the guys trying to catch the garter and it has already fallen to the ground. Totally oblivious.
DJ Frederick of Silver Sounds kept the dance floor hopping all night long. I don’t personally like props on the dance floor but they do make for some fun photos.
Enjoy the rest of the images. Thank you guys for letting me share in this special day and getting to connect with your families and friends.
