Lindsay and “Cutie”, I mean Mike, are getting married this Saturday. Yes, I called him “cutie” because Lindsay said that’s Mike’s nickname. We met up on a warm day at her family’s farm to do their engagement photos, AKA Get to Know You session. When I arrived Mike was driving around in the bobcat. A little farm truck that they use to get around. When I arrived, Mike jumped at the chance to give me a tour in the bobcat. It’s a really beautiful place with a lake, corn fields, a barn, silos, wine cellar and farmhouse. As soon as Lindsay mentioned the place, I knew we would have fun.
Mike had just went on a terrible date and asked his friend, “Do you know any normal girls?”. The friend immediately thought of Lindsay and they met for drinks. 5 hours later they were still chatting over wine at Spamp’s, a bar in Conshohocken. Mike and Lindsay love wine. They actually keep a list of every bottle they have tried and their characteristics. Their favorite thing to do is grill out back with a nice red wine and watch crime dramas. I love me some crime dramas myself. I tried to get them to grill out for our session but dad had already stored the grill for the season so we settled for some nice homemade wine on the porch.

There was a row boat on the lake and I envisioned a nice little boat ride a la little mermaid, but we couldn’t figure out how to get the boat from the middle of the lake. Friends left it with no motor just floating in the middle. I hope someone doesn’t have to swim out there and get it, glad it won’t be me. =) Nixing the lake, Mike jumped in the driver seat of the bobcat and drove us to the cornfields. What a beautiful view!
Lindsay is so beautiful and bubbly. She is so easy to photograph. I love when my clients make my job super easy. If you look closely, Lindsay has a pair of designer jeans on. She claims this is her guilty pleasure because a great fitting pair of jeans is worth every penny. I couldn’t agree more! I am just glad my fave jeans are from H&M which only cost me $30 bucks!
Well, “cutie” also wore his designer jeans and posed for a few photos by the barn.
I was able to coax Lindsay out of her comfie jeans and into one of the cutest dresses I have ever seen. Totally fits her personality and when she is not looking, I am going to steal it.
