Brooklyn Bridge New York Love Affair Session

As a New York wedding photographer, I am really lucky to work with so many wonderful wedding collaborators. NYC Faces, make-up artist extraordinaire and Merci New York, chic city stylist helped me make this New York Love Affair Get to Know You session a success. Catalina and Kris met in the military working among aircraft parts. Catalina is still in and Kris has moved to a civilian military job. He spends most of his year working in the middle east and Catalina is trying to get transferred back there so she can be close to him. Catalina and Kris are a very warm, open and fun couple.

Asking Catalina about Kris, “Kris is the fashionable one, he is more concerned about clothes, hair and make-up than I am. I would wear sweat pants everyday, if I could. He is also warm, generous and has a great sense of humor” Kris says, “Catalina is warm, vivacious and lets me know everyday how much she loves me”

swoon!

The proposal:

Kris made a scrapbook that looked exactly the same as the scrapbook from “Up.” The third page had stickers of a bride and groom, an engagement ring and it read “He Proposed – February 12, 2010.” When it finally hit me that the date was that same day, I turned around and he was standing there with my ring.

Some of their fave things to do is eat italian food, chase ice cream trucks and travel. Sadly there was not an ice cream truck in sight.

For their session we went to the Brooklyn Bridge, brought a big red balloon as a nod to “UP” and then spent some time outside of Grimaldi’s. Actually the line was to long, so a few quick pics and we ate at the pizza place around the corner. If Grimaldi’s is half as good, the line is worth it. I still dream about going back and eating more pizza.
