New York wedding photographer at Phoenixville Foundry

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of capturing pro European basketball player, Adam and his gorgeous wife, Emily’s intimate wedding. Emily and Adam were a dream to work with. They are also very much in love.

Emily and Adam met while attending UPenn. She was a volleyball player and he was a basketball player. They both excelled at sports and had a really great time together. A few years later they broke it off, much to the chagrin of all their friends and family. Fast forward to 3 years ago, and Emily and Adam got back in touch. After their first date, Emily told her parents, “I think we are going to get married” Meanwhile Adam was thinking, “She’s the one” Sure enough Adam proposed shortly after their courtship started again and it has been a whirlwind of living in Germany and Spain during basketball season and their beach house in the states in the off-season. Emily and Adam love surfing and exploring. They both have a relaxed surfer chic style. In fact Adam wore a custom pair of Vans during the reception.

What stuck out for me when I met them, besides Adam being 6’10” (yeah, Im only 5’4″) and making 5’11.5″ Emily look small, their genuine love and caring for each other and everyone around them. These two are some of the most open, kind hearted and honest people I have ever met. On the day of their wedding, they were caring and genuinely interested in our well-being and the quality of the photos. Anything we asked they did and they even brought some of their own ideas to the table. My favorite part of the day: Emily and Adam stayed together the entire day. The only time I saw them apart was when she was in the bathroom or he was getting her a drink. All night they held hands, gave a little tug on the others arm or stole a smooch or two. It was refreshing. Without further ado, here are our two gorgeous lovebirds!

Special thank you to Geoff Horowitz for coming out and being my co-pilot (second photographer)!

Emily and Adam wanted a very serious old-time looking portrait like the ones their grandparents, great grandparents and great great grandparents had

We saw this little house outside the church and had to go American Gothic
