Geoff and Jim met at a bar 4 years from the date of their wedding. Jim said that Geoff walked right up to him and said they belonged together. Within a few minutes of chatting, Jim agreed. Geoff has always been bold. He’s a dancer, choreographer and has an absolutely fantastic blog about his life growing up. Want to know more about New York in the 80’s check out Geoff’s writing. Jim is a little quieter but they compliment each other well.
We started out at the city clerk’s office with family and close friends. The ceremony was heartwarming and the officiant was enthusiastic. I was so proud of New York state for acknowledging their deep love, affection and commitment to each other. After the ceremony, we headed over to Jim and Geoff’s gorgeous new home on the upper west side. They had just moved in so there was plenty of room for their 40 guests. I am so glad they had me come and share in this moment with them. Once the weather is warmer we are going to go out on the town and do a fun Get to Know You session, check back later.
