I used to be a professional dancer so I love when I get the opportunity to photograph dance. Currently, I am working with Rioult to document their entire season. The great thing about this project is that I get unlimited access. I get to capture rehearsals, the performances, backstage, the little details that go into making a dance, a dancer, a company. The choreography is smart, thought provoking and really good. The dancers….amazing. The energy, the technique, the emotion they evoke even during rehearsal is really fun to watch. I appreciate their drive, their athleticism and desire to reveal their entire souls. Plus these dancers have been with Rioult a long time. That is a testament to the company, the work, the choreographer and administration. If I was still dancing, this would be a company I would strive to be in.
The advantage of the USB port is that you can dowonlad your own designs. Sometimes this may require special software, but you would then be able to create your own designs. With only the card slot, you must buy a cartridge for any design you may want to use. Each cartridge usually has multiple designs, but can be costly to buy (especially if you want multiple). In short, the USB connection allows you more versatility. Both machines are likely nice and would allow you to do some cool things But the Babylock sounds like it might have the most options available.
