Jaclyn and Bobby’s elegant wedding in Philadelphia earlier this fall was an absolute joy to photograph. With the St. Peter and Paul Cathedral Basilica as a stunning backdrop, the interior’s dark wood and ethereal and golden tones bathed the ceremony in a warmth that well-complemented the couple’s sweet relationship. Having met through a mutual friend in Manayunk, Philadelphia several years ago, Bobby and Jaclyn discovered their mutual love of music and The Great Gatsby, after which they named their cute border collie. In addition to Michael Jackson and Bruce Springsteen, they are both fans of jazz vocalists Billie Holiday and Frank Sinatra. In fact, it was a Billie Holiday recording that crooned in the background as Bobby proposed on their Barbados hotel balcony.
After the ceremony, we fought the wind and rain to get some intimate portraits of the two of them with their family and wedding party. Who says rain can’t make for pretty photos? The fun continued with a reception at the Four Seasons Hotel.

In honor of Bobby’s Irish heritage and in memory of his mother, they had a bagpiper playing outside the cathedral.
This just goes to show that even when Mother Nature is uncooperative, weddings can still be tons of fun!
