New York Wedding Moment: A love between parents and their children

This New York wedding moment is from Sylvia and Stephen’s wedding.

Sylvia and Stephen have been together since they were 18, have a beautiful little girl and this wedding was a way for Sylvia and Stephen to recommit themselves to each other and their daughter. Just as the parent dances ended, where Sylvia was dancing with her mom and Stephen danced with his mom,  each mom went to hug the other child. I love how Stephen’s mom is still holding Stephen while she has Sylvia in a deep embrace. You can see the love the moms have for their children and their new son-in-law/daughter -in-law. You can also tell how much Sylvia and Stephen love them too.  I knew from talking with Sylvia and Stephen and watching the families throughout the day that there were strong emotional ties between the parents and children. Being present to their relationship and anticipating that the love will be expressed in some way; made it easier to capture this moment. As my mom says to me and I tell my daughter, “you will always be my baby even when you grow up big and tall”
