Many moons ago, Howie and Lauren first met at the IAC building, during a Samuel Waxman Cancer Fundraiser. Both Howie’s friend, Sari, and Lauren were actively involved with the charity. And as you might have guessed, the two hit if off. Fast-forwarding to 2012: Howie’s proposal last year was a heavily-strategized battle plan that required much time and friend finagling (Lauren had a guest staying for the week!), and even some covert negotiations with a security manager (to obtain off-hours access to IAC)! The proposal night centered around a “walk down memory lane” to several of the couple’s favorite date locations, eventually landing them at the IAC building’s outside courtyard. It was there, that Howie proposed, before they shared a fantastic, celebratory meal at Babbo, the site of their first anniversary dinner date.
Both the couple’s wedding ceremony and reception were held at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers-a beautiful venue for events and special occasions. It was an absolute joy to photograph, and I thank you both for sharing your day with me.
