Studio Open House

The Studio Open House was a huge success! Feastivities did a wonderful job with the food. It was so yummy! My fab friend, Judith Campbell, from Campbell Studios kept me sane by creating and executing the entire layout. Judith was hanging images, filling vases, and running around for me up until the last second. People also enjoyed the cool jazz rythms provided by the Victor Baker Duo. This consisted of Victor Baker, guitarist and Victor North, Saxaphonist. You can see them both playing around town, together, as well as with their prospective bands Big Monday and Three Blind Mice. I also have to give a big thank you to my friend Victoria who was the beautiful bartender and her lovely daughter, who was your doorwoman.

Thanks goes to  Dave Williams for pulling together a gorgeous promo video of me in action. It looked great on the big screen.

Last but not least,  a huge thank you to everyone that came. It was a great mix of event industry professionals, previous clients, current clients and a few prospects. The outpouring of love and support is truly appreciated. It was also great to relax and hang out with everyone on a much more social level.

For those of you that missed this fabulous event- never fear- I will do more of these in the coming months. They are a lot of fun. I will start doing some kind of first friday event. Much smaller scale but still fun and relaxing. I also plan on doing more of these big collaborative events every couple of months. I really hope the loft becomes a destination place for all of you.

I did receive several requests to move into the loft- unfortunately we will all have to just pretend we live there when we have our little soirees. I get first dibs! =)

Now after that whole recap, I bet you want to see the event. Well I thought of everything but the photography!!! Yes, I, a photographer forgot to hire someone to take photos of the event. Can you believe it? =)  So this brings up a very good point. How important is photography for your event? After reading my recap and missing the event for whatever reason- do you want to see photos of it? Do you want to be able to experience the event through photos? Is it enough to just read and hear about it? Without seeing photos of the event, does it make you want to come to the next event? Do you think the guests will remember all the details in a few weeks? So, now, how important is photography for your event?

Here is a little montage of people and elements at the party. None of these are from the actual event.
