Merci New York, NYC Faces and I traveled across the tunnel into Hoboken to meet up with Trish and Rick for their Get to Know You session aka engagement session. I love them! Trish is full of energy, gorgeous and super stylish. I loved watching her emails back and forth with Merci New York about the fashion and styling for the session. It was evident that Jackie and Trish had the same taste and I loved all the photos of clothes being passed back and forth. Merci New York came up with some fab little details for us. Of course, NYC Faces worked her make-up magic to an already flawless Trish and made her super stunning. What I love most about NYC Faces is her exuberant personality, calming effect she has on my brides and her natural touch with make-up.
Trish and Rick met on Match.com. More and more of my couples are meeting that way. They emailed each other for weeks before actually venturing on their first date at Ted and Jo’s in Hoboken, NJ. They talked for hours, never running out of things to say. According to Trish, Rick is mature, passionate and always has her best interests in mind. According to Rick, Trish is intelligent and silly, she always makes him laugh.
When designing their Get to Know You session or as most wedding people say, their engagement session, we wanted to tie in their playful nature, love for cooking and good wine and their passion for anything nautical. An ideal day would be watching a sunset, cooking and sailing. We began in their kitchen where they could relax and be themselves. Prepping for dinner, washing dishes and even a little playful towel smack. A huge element of their relationship is having fun even in the mundane everyday tasks.
We then ventured down to the Hoboken waterfront for a nautical themed picnic and sunset. Unfortunately, it ended up being overcast but we still had fun taking in the Manhattan skyline.
I can’t wait for their wedding weekend in August at The Sagamore in Lake George!
