Mythri and Prakash were married last year at the Please Touch Museum. They did a beautiful indian ceremony in the carousel room. I asked Mythri and Prakash to tell me their favorite image from the day and why. They chose this one.
It is one of my favorite images because it is full of emotion. It is a moment that you have to anticipate and be in tune with who your clients are and what is going on around you. But to Mythri and Prakash this moment is full of so much more. Prakash’s father died 6 months before the wedding. They were very close and it was very hard for him to celebrate one of his most important moments in his life without him. This moment is Mythri’s father hugging Prakash and welcoming him into the family. Every time Prakash looks at this image, it makes him cry. It brings up the love for his own father and his new family’s father. Weddings are so much more than just the bride and groom it is about the two families joining and welcoming the other. Thank you to Mythri and Prakash for sharing the story behind this image.
