A few weeks ago, Sarah Pease from Brilliant Event Planning called me to photograph one of her fab marriage proposals. Of course, I said yes, who wouldn’t want to work with The Proposal Planner?!? Rodrigo called Sarah and said him and his girlfriend would be in New York during a work conference. They are from Brazil and have been together 6 years and he wanted something intimate with a view of New York City. With only a few days to plan, Sarah created a beautiful intimate dinner at the Ramscale Lofts with a private chef, their own private terrace, a guitar duo playing romantic spanish music and a table set against a gorgeous skyline. Rodrigo told his fiancee that they were going to a work related dinner and when she walked in and saw nothing but roses, music and a view, she knew something was up. Feeling super nervous, Rodrigo just wanted me to take photos after the actual proposal happened. Well that was crazypants! The whole point of me being there was so I could get the actual moment and capture the authentic emotion. Luckily, he agreed after learning that I would be out of sight with a long lens. Congratulations you two! Proposal well done to Sarah too!
