I love shoes, I love looking at shoes and wishing I could have every single pair that I love. However, I rarely ever buy shoes and can’t justify spending more than $200.00 on a pair of shoes and that has to be a pair I am going to wear all the time. I would rather spend my money on experiences instead of stuff. For example, we would rather go out to several nice dinners than buy a new tv. Now, I get the desire, the need to have some glamorous, over the top shoes. I get it, really I do, I just can’t justify it to myself. BUT, if I was going to splurge, I’d get some Louboutin’s. Yes, the red sole is definitely a plus. I love red! It’s passionate, full of fire and oh so sexy. But the real reason….they make you want to dance. If putting on a pair of Louboutin’s makes you feel like dancing, then I’m getting a pair. Of course, dancing while wearing red shoes, even if its just the soles, can be a dangerous proposition. (if you have seen The Red Shoes, you’ll know what I mean) Plus, I love that Louboutin is dancing too. It’s the experience you have in/with those shoes, whether real or perceived, that is alluring/ important.
Today is the day to see all the glorious details from Christi and Brad’s wedding (1, 2). As I mentioned before, Evantine did a wonderful job making this wedding look both modern and rustic. I love all the variations of plants and flowers that they used. I also liked the different table sizes, heights and lengths of centerpieces. Enjoy!

What a unique venue! I love how you captured the atmosphere.
Since we are all snowed in, I know you are all chomping at the bit to see more of Christi and Brad’s wedding (1, 3. Today we are going to see the beautiful ceremony in the Kimmel Center’s big glass dome, the Hamilton Gardens. Get ready to feast your eyes on the beauty that Evantine did for Christi and Brad. Two Paper Dolls did the programs.
And I thought artichokes were just good for eating!
I love how Christi and Evantine incorporated the bike into the decor.
This is the first time I have ever seen one of these. It is a hand carved box with a bottle of really nice wine and 2 love letters that Christi and Brad wrote to each other. They will open this box on their anniversary, drink the wine and read their love letters. I think it’s supposed to be there 25th anniversary. I love time capsules and have started thinking about making one with my daughter.
Christi and her dad peeking through the curtain watching everyone walk down the aisle.
Brad’s sister trying not to burst into tears
Tomorrow: all the gorgeous reception details and tables. I had a really hard time narrowing down the pics, so tomorrow will be a long one!

Christiana and Brad had a gorgeous wedding (2, 3). I knew it was going to be beautiful when she said she was working with Evantine Design. They do some of the most elegant and innovative floral and event design in Philadelphia. You may remember Christi and Brad from their GTKY (Get to Know You) session on the country bike and a few from the sweet shoppe in Northern Liberties. Christi and Brad met in college and continued a long distance relationship once Christi moved back home after graduating. Brad would come visit, stopping for brunch at Sabrina’s and cheese from DiBruno’s. It became harder and harder for Brad to leave until he transfered to Philly to be with Christi.
Combining modern and rustic, they tied the knot at the Kimmel Center. With the huge glass dome, the ceremony felt like it was outside without having to worry about the elements. Of course they were lucky and had great weather anyway.
Stationery by Two Paper Dolls. Love the cityscape at the top of the invite.
The view from the Ritz Carlton
Elegant and simple. This dress from Priscilla of Boston fits Christi’s style and grace.
Walking through the lobby to see Brad for the first time.
For those that fear seeing each other for the first time before the ceremony, getting to share in this moment and really feeling connected is worth it. They were able to embrace and talk and not have to worry about 200 people staring at them.
Of course, we had to stop at DiBruno’s!
Christi and Brad are avid bicyclists, so I wanted to include it in the pic. I love how they are about to embark on a new life together, a major milestone, and other people are just going about their lives.

Navy blue and green were their colors. I always enjoy when the bridesmaids get to pick their own style. Each one picks something flattering to their body type and everyone feels comfortable. These navy blue dresses are from Melissa Sweet.
There is the big glass dome I was talking about at the Kimmel Center. Tomorrow, I’ll show you how Evantine Design brought the outside in for their ceremony.
